I was born in Birmingham, England and moved to Australia with my parents when I was 18 months old. From an early age, I wanted to be a Veterinarian but, as I got older, the city life gave me anxiety and I couldn’t move past the thought of 7 years at university in the big smoke. In 2015 however, I decided to follow my dream and enter the animal care industry as a Veterinary Nurse.
I was grateful to be offered work experience at Blair Street Vets in March 2015 not long after I started studying, and was quickly welcomed and made to feel at home by all the staff. I was even luckier to have two amazing nurses guiding me, teaching me, and encouraging me through my studies - Laura Bellotti and Rhonda Fox. I graduated with High distinctions in 2016.
Outside of work, I have an 11 year old son who is my world, 2 cats - both rescues, 2 crazy Boxer dogs and 4.5 horses (one is a mini!) Endurance riding is my go-to event with my horses, but I’m just as happy brushing them and having them as paddock ornaments. My interests also include cooking, camping, horse riding (anything outdoorsy, really) and carpentry.
I love working at Blair Street Veterinary Hospital as, even before I started working for them, Dr Alan and Dr John have always been my fur babies' health carers.
